Biodata......

Adam Sandler was born September 9th, 1966 in Brooklyn, New York. Nevertheless he was raised in New Hampshire. His first comic appearance occurred when his brother pushed on stage at a comedy club. Adam got his big break with "Saturday Night Live." He was discovered at a standup bit by Dennis Miller, who got him an audition for "SNL." Sandler was best known for his hilarious songs on the skit "Weekend Update." Some of his characters were Cajun Man, Canteen Boy, Opera Man & Shorty. Adam also wrote for the show. Before 1995 Sandler had parts in "Mixed Nuts," "Airheads," "Going Overboard," and "Shakes The Clown." Adam stayed at SNL for about four years. and then exited. He did a movie in 1995 called "Billy Madison." In that movie Sandler played a drunken loser who had to prove his father he was responsible, so he could take over his hotel company. That is one of my favorite Sandler movies. Sandler now co-writes all his movies with his college buddy Tim Herlihy, who is now a head writer for "SNL."
1996 brought "Happy Gilmore." In "Happy Gilmore," Sandler played a golfer who had to win tournaments to save his grandma's house. Another movie, "Bullet Proof," Sandler plays next to Damon Wayans. Sandler's next role showed a new side. "The Wedding Singer" casted Adam as Robby Hart, a wedding singer who meets a soon to be married Drew Barrymore, and falls in love with her. Now we come to last year's smash hit "The Waterboy." I have no need to explain that role. Anyone who's a Sandler fan already knows what it's about. With the success of The Waterboy, Adam had enough movie offers to bury him. In June 1999 Adam starred in "Big Daddy." It grossed over $160 million dollars. Even though some critics give Adam's movies bad reviews, the fans still come out to see his movies. He's funny, a cult hero if you might say. Adam's next role is "Little Nicky." He also produced "Deuce Bigalow Male Gigolo," using his new production company Happy Madison Studios. Happy Madison, is already working on several new projects. Deuce opened December 10th, 1999 and grossed over $60 million dollars. Adam has also released 4 comedy albums. His 4th album, "Stan & Judy's Kid" was released in September 1999 and was nominated for a Grammy award.
