Welcomes First Child by Amy Poehler
Monday, October 27, 2008Comedians Amy Poehler and Will Arnett have welcomed their first child, a boy named Archie, on Saturday. The little guy weighed in at 8 lbs., 1 oz.
During the Weekend Update segment of Saturday Night Live last night, Amy Poehler's co-anchor Seth Meyers announced to a cheering crowd:
"Amy Poehler is not here tonight because she is having a baby."
Poehler revealed in April that she and Arnett were expecting: "I've been very lucky. I’m feeling good, and I’m just overwhelmed with blessings."
While Poehler has been shining on SNL - especially when teaming up with Tina Fey in political sketches - Arnett has some new projects of his own, including starring with Heroes' Kristen Bell in the big-screen comedy When in Rome.
Amy is rumored to be starring in a spin-off of The Office at some point in the near future. And you thought The Office quotes were funny as it is!
