Britney Spears Channels Madonna in Comeback Performance: Video
Saturday, November 29, 2008Britney Spears channeled Madonna at Thursday's 2008 Bambi Awards in Germany, where she made her first major "comeback" performance since her infamously rocky 2007 MTV Video Music Awards routine.
She performed her new single "Womanizer" in a transparent black top, fishnet tights, black boots and a top hat -- a similar costume that Madonna has been rocking during her current Sticky & Sweet tour (see video, above).
After her performance, Spears received the award for best international pop star from designer Karl Lagerfeld, who said she had come back "not only as a phoenix but as a bird of paradise."
Spears returned to the stage Friday to perform "Womanizer" again on French television show Star Academy (see video, above).
The singer is slated to perform on British talent show The X Factor on Saturday.
She releases her sixth studio album, Circus, stateside on Dec. 2.
