Sam Lutfi filed a lawsuit against Britney Spears and her parents for libel and defamation, the Associated Press reports.

Spears' father, Jamie -- who serves as Britney's permanent conservator -- was granted a restraining order against Lutfi, his daughter's one-time manager, and her ex Adnan Ghalib, on Friday. According to court papers, Jamie felt Lutfi and Ghalib were trying to gain control of Britney's affairs.

Lutfi's lawsuit, filed in L.A. Superior Court Tuesday, provides pages of Lutfi's side. He claims he urged Britney to reconcile with her parents earlier.

Lutfi also takes issue with Lynne Spears's memoir, Through the Storm, saying it's filled with "false statements."

(Lynne has accused Lutfi of drugging her daughter in the past.)

Spears' publicist did not return an e-mail to the AP Tuesday.
