Pictured here in her early 20s, Natasha Richardson showed off her piercing eyes, as well as her flair for the dramatic back in 1985.

That same year, Natasha made her professional stage debut in the West End revival of Anton Chekhov's classic play, The Seagull. Her turn as the ingénue, Nina, won her the Plays and Players London Theatre Criticsfor Most Promising Newcomer Award.



This marked the beginning of her long and storied career in both theater and film.
