Alaska Governor Sarah Palin did some babysitting this weekend for her daughter Bristol, who recently announced that she and her baby's father had split up.

"These are my children, Willow, Piper and [11-month-old] Trig," Palin told a group of Girl Scouts at a supermarket Saturday in Juneau, AK, according to People magazine. Palin, 45, then motioned to a baby being held and bottle-fed by Piper. "And this is my grandbaby Tripp," she said of the infant son of 18-year-old Bristol.

"He's only two months old. It's kind of surreal!" Palin told People. The former vice presidential candidate was taking a break from governing the nation's largest state to help local Girl Scouts sell cookies after the group lost all previous proceeds in a robbery the week before.
