Jessica Simpson Nick Names Tony Romo at Texas Concert

Saturday, December 6, 2008

Looks like Jessica Simpson has a pet name for beau Tony Romo: Cowboy.

At Thursday night's KJ.97 Randy Carroll's Christmas Bash in San Antonio, Texas, Simpson, 27, sang three songs and repeatedly referred to "my cowboy."

(It's not a huge stretch: He's the quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys.)

See what a body language expert had to say about Jessica and Tony.

Before belting out her tune, "Come on Over," Simpson chatted with country singer Billy Carrington about her love life on stage.

"So, I see you really like doing the guitar playing thing, the hair, the cargo pants you’re wearing - everything I used to date," she said. "But aren't you a cowboy, too?"

Switching gears to talk about Romo, whom she never mentioned by name, Simpson said: "You know, I've got a cowboy, only my cowboy is a little bit different. I wrote this song for my cowboy – it's called 'Come On Over.' I can't help it. I want him all the time."

See Jessica's former loves.

(Simpson also wrote "Back in My Old Boots" for Romo.)

She also caught a little flack on behalf of Romo.

"Jessica, I hope your boyfriend throws a lot of touchdowns this weekend, cause we're getting frustrated right now," singer John Rich told her.
