Jolie Raves About Clint Eastwood at 'Gran Torino' Premiere

Wednesday, December 10, 2008

ET's at the L.A. premiere of Clint Eastwood's revved-up new film, 'Gran Torino.' Angelina Jolie was on hand to support Clint on his big night, and the actress tells ET about his unique directing style!

"He's original, he's classic," she says. "There's just nobody like him. He's strong you don't know he's directing you. You feel like you're just having a conversation with him, but he is a really good director. You kind of walk away and think wow he snuck one in there. But he's great."

In his latest directorial effort, Clint stars as iron-willed Walt Kowalski, a Korean War vet whose long-held prejudices threaten to erupt when a Hmong teen, pressured by a neighborhood gang, tries to steal his prized car, a vintage Gran Torino. What happens when Walt decides to stand in the way of the heist and the gang?

Catch Clint in 'Gran Torino,' racing into theaters January 9, to find out!
