Chris Brown turns 20 Today
Tuesday, May 5, 2009We'd wish Chris Brown a happy 20th birthday on this 5th of May, but we're not sure he's deserving. Hopefully the music star lays low today and reflects on the serious crimes he is charged with after "allegedly" beating Rihanna to a pulp.
So enjoy your birthday, Chris, if only because it may be your last one in some time that isn't spent behind bars. That's enough to make you go ...
Brown has pleaded not guilty to assault and criminal threats charges stemming from the February 8 attack on his then girlfriend. If convicted, he faces nearly five years in prison, though he is trying to hammer out a plea deal.
If Brown and the prosecution are unable to reach a mutually acceptable plea bargain, his attorney will have no choice proceed with the defense - likely to center around the leaked Rihanna pic that surfaced after the incident.
Will he beat the rap? Will he learn from his ways? Will he fly into another blinding rage over rumors that Rihanna is now back with her ex, Negus Sealy?

Chris Brown dating Another woman
Monday, April 13, 2009It seems that singer Chris Brown, who has been charged with two felony counts for allegedly attacking former lover Rihanna, doesn't believe in wasting anytime, for he has moved on quickly and is currently dating another of his exes.

The entertainer, who allegedly left the 'Umbrella' hitmaker with a split lip, a bloody nose and bite marks on her hands, is said to be busy dating Erica Jackson, whom he met in Virginia earlier.
They have got together again, according to reports.
"They dated back in the day and reconnected a few weeks ago when Chris was in town. They've been spending a lot of time together, but things only really heated up over the last two weeks," the New York Daily quoted a source as saying.
The newspaper report also suggests that unlike Rihanna, Jackson is a tough woman.
On the other hand, Rihanna's lawyer has said that the musician will co-operate with law in the Brown case. (ANI)

Chris Brown Hoops Up with Women's College Basketball Team
Thursday, April 2, 2009Doing what he can to repair his image and pass the time until his April 6 arraignment for "allegedly" savagely beating and threatening to murder Rihanna, Chris Brown has been playing a little basketball in his home state of Virginia.
Here's TMZ's photo of the ballers ...
The R&B star - who is free on $500,000 bail after being charged with two felonies for the February attack - was spotted hamming it up for the cameras with the female University of Mary Washington basketball team Tuesday afternoon.
Ironically - or probably not ironically at all, given Chris Brown's team of PR consultants and handlers - the school is in the middle of its "White Ribbon Campaign," a week devoted to raising awareness about violence toward women.
On Monday, the Los Angeles District Attorney denied recent rumors that Rihanna is not cooperating in the case against Chris Brown. Her lawyer Donald Etra also reiterated she would cooperate in legal proceedings as the D.A. requires of her.
Chris Brown faces a maximum of four years and eight months behind bars if convicted of the aggravated assault and criminal threats charges he faces.
Expect a nice wrist slap any day now.

Chris Brown, Cheating on Rihanna with Natasha Ellie!
Saturday, March 21, 2009Could Tina Davis be vindicated?
Long assumed to be the other woman in the Chris Brown-Rihanna scandal, his manager may not have sent him the infamous booty call text message after all.
The new rumor? Chris Brown allegedly cheated on Rihanna with a model named Natasha Ellie, and she’s apparently responsible for the three-page text.
As we know, Rihanna supposedly freaked out about the text, which resulted in Chris allegedly retaliating and pounding her into unconscious submission.
Apparently Natasha Ellie has been a thorn in Rihanna's side for some time.
A friend explains: “Rihanna has been having problems with this girl for a long time. Rihanna even reached out to Natasha, but she denied everything."
"Have you heard the song 'Emergency Room' by Rihanna? In the lyrics she mentions finding Natasha’s number in Chris’ jeans. Rihanna didn’t write the song, but she met with the songwriter and told the story and they came up with it.”
Amazingly, the source may be onto something. The lyrics do indeed mention someone named “Tasha.” And while the model’s rep says that she’s not the girl in question, it is confirmed that she met Chris two years ago. Interesting!
Rihanna and Brown are sort of broken up now, but we all know she can't stay away. Hey, bruises heal and cheating happens, right? Who can resist that baby face.

Rihanna-Chris Sex Tape Rumors Surface
Friday, March 20, 2009How much mileage can celeb news sources get out of Rihanna and Chris Brown - and what lengths will they go to manufacture it when there's nothing good? That’s the question we’re asking after peeping up the latest gossip from Star Magazine.
The publication claims, verbatim:
"The leaked police photo of Rihanna's battered face stunned and horrified the world. But Star has learned that the pop princess worries that other shocking images could go public - wild sex tapes of her with abusive boyfriend Chris Brown!"
All together now: LOL.
An unreliable celeb gossip source says these two boinked on tape.
“Rihanna has no issues with her sexuality,” reveals a supposed, in-the-know Star insider. “But she’d be mortified if her friends and family found this out!”
Way to blab to Star, then, Mr. or Mrs. made-up anonymous source.
We realize that Rihanna sex tape rumors may help keep a popular story on the front page, but aren’t we all about to OD on all the insanity at some point?
At the very least, you could draw the line at making $h!t up, Star.
The Hollywood Gossip hereby moves that we as a celebrity news community focus our efforts on Eddie Cibrian and LeAnn Rimes for a bit. At some point, even Chris Brown deserves a break. Not from the legal system, just from us.

Rihanna & Chris Brown: Together, Just not in Public
Thursday, March 12, 2009Sources connected with Rihanna and Chris Brown say there is friction in the two camps - and while no one has been pummeled unconscious (yet), peeps are at each other's throats over whether Rihanna and Brown should be seen in public together.
Rihanna's PR people are said to be on high alert to make sure no one gets a photo of the alleged battery victim and the alleged maniac felon together.
They believe at this point it would be "extremely damaging" to her career.
This may explain why video surfaced earlier today on TMZ of Rihanna leaving a club around 4:00 a.m. this morning, with Chris Brown nowhere in sight.
On the flip side, with Brown angling for a plea deal to let him off the hook, his people want nothing more than to show that he and Rihanna are tight.
Obviously, letting celeb gossip sites run some pics would do that.
And then there's this: A number of people who interact with Rihanna both personally and professionally want her to cut Brown out of her life for good.
They resent him and are outraged at what he did. Not hard to believe!
For their part, the newly-reconciled Brown and Rihanna are said to be working on a duet - which, ironically, is about overcoming challenges as a couple.
Brown's manager, Tina Davis, who reportedly sent a three-age "booty call text message" that triggered the February 8 incident, is nowhere to be found.

Love Hurts: Rihanna and Chris Brown Record "Emotional" Duet
Wednesday, March 11, 2009As we reported yesterday, Rihanna and Chris Brown have been participating in secret, late-night recording sessions - ones that have been jam-packed with emotion and serious drama, along with some playful touching. Yes, we are serious.
The idea for the duet arose when they decided to get back together shortly after the February 8 incident in which Brown "allegedly" used Rihanna as a speedbag.
Music producer Polow Da Don convinced both Chris Brown and Rihanna to get in the studio and record a love song ASAP, stressing that timing was important because the heightened emotions would translate powerfully into the music.
Both Rihanna and Chris agreed and snuck in a couple of "late night" sessions that TMZ says were "very emotional ... the feeling in the room was pure love."
Is it good to see Rihanna and Chris Brown collaborating again?
Nothing like a mad dash to cash in on felony assault and criminal threats. Time may heal all wounds, but the almighty dollar heals them faster, apparently.
As for how they got along working together, a source says the two stars were "playfully touching each other." Presumably, no open-hand slaps were involved.
The song was originally written for just Rihanna, but after the intense walloping Brown administered, the producer believed the track - which ironically focuses on overcoming difficult challenges as a couple - would be an ideal duet.
No word on whether they will dedicate it to Tina Davis.

Tina Davis sent Chris Brown Booty Call Text: Report
Celebrity news sources say that Tina Davis, Chris Brown's manager, has been ID'd as the woman behind the text message long believed to have triggered the fight that left Brown charged with a pair of felony offenses and Rihanna beaten senseless.
Davis allegedly sent a three-page text message to Brown's cell phone that sent Rihanna flying off the handle and caused Brown to respond with brutal force.
Davis, who turns 40 this month, was rumored to have had a relationship with Chris Brown when he was only 16. Brown and Davis have denied this took place.
However, the detective's affidavit in the assault case refers to the text message as being "from a woman who Brown had a previous sexual relationship with."
Was Chris Brown cheating on Rihanna with manager Tina Davis?
Law enforcement sources say the text message to Brown talked about hooking up later - and it royally pissed off Rihanna, who slapped and hit him in a jealous rage.
He retaliated, to put it mildly.
Tina Davis could not be reached for comment.
No one can say for sure whether Chris Brown - who is seeking a plea deal with no jail time - is fully on the same page with Rihanna after everything that happened, but the lovebirds are reportedly working on the same track.
Literally! The seemingly reconciled duo is working on a duet that Brown is hoping to include on his new album, which is due out later this year, a studio source dished to E! Online. "They've been working on it together," the insider says.

Chris Brown Appears in Court, Arraignment Postponed
Saturday, March 7, 2009Shortly after Chris Brown arrived in an L.A. courthouse for his arraignment on Thursday to face two felony charges in connection with an alleged February 8 attack on Rihanna, further proceedings were postponed until April 6.
He did not enter a plea.
During the short session at the L.A. Superior Court, Brown signed a waiver stating that he understood that his attorney, Mark Geragos, would be appearing for him when the arraignment continues in four weeks.
The singer - wearing a gray suit with a light gray tie and matching vest - stepped out of a black SUV Escalade 3:30 p.m. PST before entering the building.
Meanwhile, attorney Donald Etra was representing Rihanna, who did not appear at the arraignment, and he said that she asked him to attend on her behalf.
"The victim is entitled to be represented at all proceedings," he said.
The court commissioner, Kristi Loustau, offered a "Level 1" protective order for Rihanna, which is the lowest level of a stay-away order for the victim.
"You are not to annoy, harass, molest or use any form of violence against anyone," Loustau told a solemn Chris Brown during the court hearing.
More news and Chris Brown photos after the jump ...
Although Etra said Rihanna requested no form of a restraining order against Brown, he added: "This is more than efficient to protect her in this case."
Brown, who was described as somber and slightly dazed during the brief hearing, said only a few words throughout, including "Yes, your honor."
After court, Etra said that Rihanna "wanted to convey her appreciation to the friends, followers and family" that have supported her. Asked about the couple getting back together, Etra said "this is not the time to discuss that."
Brown is facing assault by means likely to create great bodily injury and criminal threats. If convicted, he faces four years and eight months in prison.
Legal experts say that because Rihanna did not request a stay-away order, it does suggest she doesn't necessarily want Chris Brown to stay away.
Some believe that if Rihanna refuses to testify against him, his case will likely not go to trial, although other law enforcement sources say otherwise.

Rihanna relatives on Chris Brown Charges, It's About Time
Friday, March 6, 2009Rihanna's relatives are speaking out after felony charges were leveled at Chris Brown in a Los Angeles court today, with one family member reportedly quoted as saying, "He deserves whatever he gets."
The unnamed relative reportedly tells People.com that Brown "deserves whatever he gets" and goes so far as to say, "He should be in jail."
The 19-year-old R&B singer faces one count of assault and one of making criminal threats. If convicted on both counts, Brown's sentence could range from as little as probation to a maximum sentence of up to four years, eight months in prison.
Rihanna's father in Barbados, Ronald Fenty, also responded to detailed reports leaked to the public today about Brown's alleged assault on his girlfriend, saying, "I was annoyed. I never hit my daughter. Why should he hit her? Why would any one do that? … I don't know the situation and I wasn't there."
Stay tuned to ET for all the latest news on this situation.

All Good in Diddy's Hood: Chris Brown
Monday, March 2, 2009A source close to Chris Brown and Rihanna says to forget the speculation that these two might be back together.
There's nothing speculative about this reconciliation.
"They are definitely together and care a great deal about each other," an insider told People Magazine. "They feel like staying in and working through their issues. So far they have not wanted to go out."
That may be true for Rihanna. But Brown was spotted jet skiing around Diddy's Star Island home this week, seemingly without a care in the world:
Chris Brown powered through waves like they were Rihanna's tiny, ineffectual fists...
... and then showed the camera just how strong he was. (What a moron.)

What Song Should Rihanna Dedicate To Chris Brown?
Wednesday, February 25, 2009What happened to Rihanna is NOT a laughing matter.
There is NO excuse for domestic violence (not even the catch-all "he's human," sorry T.I.) and this ranks as one of the saddest stories we've covered in nearly three years immersed in the celeb gossip industry - one we wish we never had to.
Yes, Chris Brown is entitled to due process and blah, blah, blah ... but if he is indeed responsible for the beating depicted in that infamous Rihanna photo, well, the fool deserves to be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
That said, if we can't enjoy a little humor in our lives, what's the point? And isn't it time Rihanna kicked this loser to the curb - with musical flair?
So we ask, in somewhat poor taste: if Rihanna were to dedicate a remix to her "allegedly" abusive boyfriend, which would it be?

Rihanna: Unmoved by Chris Brown Non-Apology
Wednesday, February 18, 2009For the record, Rihanna's camp has declined to officially comment on Chris Brown's first public comments since his felony arrest two Sundays ago. Sources close to her, however, have described the battered singer as being "appalled" by her boyfriend's statement, issued through a spokesman. "All of us, including Rihanna, do not understand how he can say he's sorry on the one hand, but still... does not admit any guilt," a Barbados pal of Rihanna tells theChicago Sun-Times. "He should have expressed more contrition." After a week of negative press for Chris Brown subsequent to the alleged assault that took place involving Rihanna, Brown released a statement saying he was "sorry and saddened... over what transpired," but did not go into detail. It has been theorized that a booty call text message triggered an argument between the couple that spiraled out of control and led to a violent altercation. Rihanna also told police that this was not the first time Brown attacked her. Rihanna and Chris Brown in happier times. A source close to Rihanna apparently told the newspaper that she is "royally pissed off" at what she calls Brown's "cavalier and arrogant statement." Both singers have kept a low profile after the incident, which allegedly left Rihanna with horrific injuries. Chris Brown is due in court March 5.

Chris Brown breaks Silence on Arrest, Rihanna
Monday, February 16, 2009Earlier today, we told you how Rihanna's father spoke out for the first time since his daughter's alleged beating at the hands of her boyfriend, singer Chris Brown.
Now, the following statement has been issued by a spokesman on behalf of Brown - his first since his arrest on battery and criminal threats charges last Sunday:
"Words cannot begin to express how sorry and saddened I am over what transpired. I am seeking the counseling of my pastor, my mother and other loved ones and I am committed, with God's help, to emerging a better person."
"Much of what has been speculated or reported on blogs and/or the media is wrong."

"While I would like to be able to talk about this more, until the legal issues are resolved, this is all I can say except that I have not written any messages or made any posts on Facebook, blogs or any place else," the statement continued.
"Those posts or writings under my name are frauds."
Chris Brown, 19, allegedly attacked girlfriend Rihanna, 20, in Los Angeles on February 8, before both were scheduled to perform at the Grammy Awards.
He posted $50,000 bail and has kept an extremely low profile since the incident.

Paris Hilton denies Flirting with Chris Brown
Sunday, February 15, 2009Hilton is one of a number of female stars accused of causing an argument between the couple by getting too close to the Kiss Kiss singer.
The hotel heiress was seen chatting to Brown at a pre-Grammy Awards party in Los Angeles on Saturday night.
He later left the event with Rihanna and subsequently became embroiled in a police investigation sparked by an emergency call suggesting he had beaten an unnamed female.
Reports later identified the woman involved as his girlfriend, Rihanna, who was allegedly hospitalised on Sunday.
Brown later turned himself in to police and was charged with making criminal threats.
Speculation has been growing about what caused the alleged bust-up, with many internet gossips claiming another woman sparked the incident.
British pop star Leona Lewis and singer/actress Keisha Chante have already denied involvement - and now Hilton has been forced to comment following reports she got cosy with Brown at the pre-Grammy bash
